In St. Michael’s we have an Anti-Bullying Group called the Bully Busters. They work with our School Council, and Playground Pals to support all children and make sure everyone feels safe and happy in school.
As a school we work alongside The Road counselling service to address bullying. We promote understanding of anti-bullying so that our school is safe for all children. Children explore ways of resolving disagreements and help with what to do if they think they are being bullied.
Children learn about anti-bullying in a range of different ways:
- Literacy-Reading, Writing, Drama and role-play
- Anti-bullying Week
- Cyber-bullying workshops supported by Impact NE
- Visits from outside agencies including support from NSPCC.
