Well Being

At St. Michael’s, we believe that the well being of all of our children, their families and the staff is fundamental to their all round development. We actively promote well being using Five Ways to Well Being.

Our well being leaders in school are:

Mrs Murray- Well Being coordinator

Mrs O’Neill- Children’s Well Being Champion

Mr Hewitson- Staff Well Being Champion

Our Bully Busters work hard to support the staff and children by being role models, modelling how to treat others with respect and kindness.

In our wellbeing sessions, we have learned breathing techniques to help us to feel calm. We also have a sensory room if we are need of a quiet space and some sensory time.

We know who to talk to if we have problems, and we have thought about who our safe adults are both in and out of school.

We know how important it is to look after our mental health and to talk about our worries.
